GROW YOUR BLOG

Hi Bloggers.
I just want to say 'Thank you' for taking the time to come in and sit awhile to read my blog.
My name is Judith and I am a sewing quilter. I totally enjoy sewing, and I started out making clothes and then went into quilts. My fingers get itchy for pins and fabric. The hum of the machine makes my heart sing.
I am a self taught quilter and whatever else I do. Garden, blog, cook, and even do some home canning.
I am a grandmother of five, one girl, four boys. The oldest is ten, and the youngest is sixteen weeks.
I homeschool my grand daughter who is the oldest. We are into the fourth year of playing school.
I hope to get to know more of you as this year continues and I remember to keep the fire going under this pan. I have a lot of pans on the stove all the time, and some times I forget which one has fire under it.
I began blogging a couple of years ago, because a  friend gave me the idea, as well as my sister. So much to share with others when others have the time to sit awhile.
I am glad to be a part of this Grow Your Blog event.
I  started an Etsy shop so I can help at home and sew at the same time. If you want to see what is there click on the link, or on the button on the side.
I hope to share with you what makes my heart sing, which is what I create when I get to SEW.
Again THANK YOU for taking the time to stop and read thru my blog.
To further thank you I’m giving away a coin purse made by me from a fabric I have on hand.  This giveaway is open to anyone. In order to win, leave me a comment and tell me what your favorite fabric is (floral, geometric, solid, novelty, etc (please be sure you are not a no-reply on Blogger).  For a second chance to win, you can become a follower and leave a comment telling me you have done so. Winner will be chosen on February 15th.  Good Luck!
the oldest to the youngest~~~ joy!

Have a lot of the same interests as you. I have to say I love solids as of late. I do a lot of hand quilting and they show that off the best. I am a new follower and look forward to returning soon.

I love your reference to keeping "the fire under the pan"! I think I can relate to that. How blessed you are to have such a large extended family. I joined your blog and will look forward to reading more. I love fabric, too, although I do not sew quite so much these days. I'd have to say my fave is anything vintage or cottage style - gingham, calico, etc. Cindy from TheCranesNest.com

Very nice introduction to your blog. Family is the best, isn't it? My favorite fabrics - a 50-50 split between batiks - the Hoffman 1895 kind - and Civil War repros. I can't get enough of either one! Thanks for the giveaway chance. dezertsuz at gmail.

Love your wallets! I have made Valentine iPhone cases, so I guess "novelty fabric" is my choice. Dog prints, word fabrics strike my fancy.

Greetings from Henderson, Nevada! I hopped here from the GYB Hop -

Love the wallets in your Etsy shop!

I am a fabric lover so it is hard to go wrong! I favor geometrics over floral, but there are definite exceptions when it comes to vintage and retro florals!
