I am one of those people who does well being outside. I feel better when I get a bit of sunshine splashed in my face and on my skin.
I love the warmth of the sun.
I enjoy what it will do for my inner spirit, my soul.
I love the color my skin gets when it has enough to make it glow. I just really ENJOY being outside.
This week while taking breaks outside during school, I spotted a lovely creature.
I have not seen one of these around here before. I thought it would come and sit beside me, it came so close.
It was taking sips from the California Fuchsia, and the Lavender that dwells in our lands here. It was basking in the warmth of the sun and taking in the sweet scents of the garden.
I was right there with it in it's setting. I wanted to fly right along side it and bask in it's beauty. I was really enjoying being out side. And then break was over. bummer...
But then a day or two later while enjoying the evening air and watering , there it appeared again. I was in ahhhh.
I wonder if it might be a Gulf Fritillary.
I sent my grand-daughter to get the camera and we managed to capture a few shots. Not perfect but at least we can see it again when it is not around us, while being outside.
As a side note of what I wrote in my books page. You could check it out from time to time. I do try to update it.
I have finished another one of Francine Rivers books, "The Scarlet Thread".
Could not put it down or it wouldn't put me down , one might say. Since I read at night to help me unwind and relax enough to fall asleep. It was interesting and an easy read. I enjoyed it.
If you can take time each day to read for ten minutes you will be amazed at how much you will get out of what you pick up.
To think that I didn't read anything before and now I don't go a day with out my morning reads and then my evening time in the books and now during school I have my star student reading at least a hour a day. She doesn't know it though. We read bible in the first half hour of the school day and then a half hour of Read Aloud. Then she reads for a half hour at the close of the school day, and then if she sleeps over we read when we go to bed. LOVE IT! Whatever works.
